Intact ecosystems are the basis of our existence. Clean water, good air, biodiversity, fertile soils and a healthy climate – all of this makes our lives and those of future generations worth living. The rapid destruction of many habitats is jeopardizing this basis of life – according to FAO estimates, around 420 million hectares of forest were destroyed worldwide between 1990 and 2020. We are countering this development with effective, meaningful and sustainable nature conservation projects, wherever protection is most urgently needed.
What we do
We protect biodiversity, endangered species and valuable ecosystems. We implement nature and environmental protection projects around the world that preserve and restore habitats – sustainably and over the long term. From the reforestation of precious forests in India and Mexico to the protection of the last elephants in Nepal. From forest protection in international supply chains to our commitment to insect diversity on German fields. In doing so, we involve local people and create conservation-friendly sources of income.
