23 national parks cover 1% of Poland’s territory. These parks attract 60% of all tourists in the country. However, there is no up-to-date information on their accessibility. For tourists, visiting the parks improves physical fitness, mood and performance and boosts self-confidence and emotional balance. People with disabilities in particular benefit from the advantages of visiting parks – but so far there is no up-to-date information on their accessibility. This information would particularly benefit the 80 million people with severe disabilities living in the EU. But this information would also help other people with special needs, such as older people.
