Economy & Sustainability

Biodiversity – the diversity of life – is the basis of our economy. After all, the ecosystem services of intact, species-rich habitats are at the beginning of many supply chains – from clean water and fertile soils to the pollination of our crops. As one of the first German environmental protection organizations, we have been campaigning for the preservation of intact ecosystems and biodiversity protection in the economy since 2010.

What we do

We protect biodiversity and ecosystems by bringing sustainable business practices to companies and supply chains. In Germany and Europe, we are committed to insect-friendly agriculture and company premises, and in the Caribbean and Mongolia to sustainable tourism. We are committed to biodiversity-friendly and fair supply chains worldwide – from textiles, bananas, coffee, cereals and herbs to shrimp and rubber. For a sustainable economy and sustainable development.
