GNF is a member of the Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN)

7. January 2026

The Global Nature Fund (GNF) has joined the Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN). SAN is a global network of NGOs, agricultural associations and experts that has been committed to the development and expansion of sustainable agriculture for 20 years. As one of 37 members, the GNF contributes its expertise in the field of ecosystem services and biodiversity in agriculture. In addition to supporting biodiversity measures in agricultural production, the GNF focuses on the transformation of supply chains, for which the GNF also trains and supports companies in the food industry (EU Life project “Fit for Biodiversity”). SAN membership is therefore an enrichment for both sides and an important strategic step.

About SAN

SAN brings together organizations working along the entire value chain to transform food systems so that they are sustainable, resilient and just for communities and nature. Guided by a shared vision and mission, SAN works with strategic values such as integrity, radical collaboration, inclusivity, curiosity, empathy and adaptability.

Through member-led programs, knowledge sharing and collective action, the SAN network delivers measurable results at scale – reaching more than 120 countries and helping to manage more than 40 million hectares of over 300 crops. By communicating and collaborating as a single, credible community, the innovations and stories of the current 35 members reach a wider audience and can respond quickly to current challenges.
