To strengthen our Sustainable Development & Development Cooperation and Nature Conservation departments, we are looking for a highly organized and reliable person to assist with project administration and office management.
The position is for 20 hours per week (50%) and is initially a two-year fixed-term contract. We are also aiming for a long-term partnership.

Your tasks:

  • Assistance in preparing financial reports for donors (spreadsheet analysis, exchange rate calculations, review of accounting documents);
  • Assistance in preparing presentations for funders and donors;
  • Assistance with image research, as well as with the maintenance and organization of the image database for communications and public relations activities;
  • Coordinating and taking minutes/documenting project team meetings—both online and in person—as well as meetings with external parties;
  • Assistance with preparing the project team’s business trips within the country and abroad, as well as with travel expense reports;
  • Documentation and work at the interface between project management and administration at the GNF
  • Simple correspondence with project partners in Germany and abroad;
  • Organizing the mailing of contracts and funding requests.

Your profile:

  • You have completed a business apprenticeship, hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field, or possess a comparable qualification.
  • Previous experience in project management or as a project assistant, as well as intercultural competence, are a plus.
  • You are interested in issues related to sustainability, the environment, and nature conservation.
  • For this position, you should have strong organizational skills and a meticulous, structured, and reliable approach to your work.
  • You have a very good command of German and a good command of written and spoken English.
  • The ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate across departments is just as much a part of your strengths as your communication skills, team spirit, and a friendly, service-oriented, and professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft 365 rounds out your profile.

Our offer:

We offer you a varied and meaningful position at an internationally active environmental foundation. As part of a dedicated and supportive team, you will contribute to national and international projects in the areas of nature conservation, sustainability, and development cooperation. You can expect a diverse range of responsibilities with the freedom to take the initiative, quick decision-making processes, and an open, supportive work environment.

In addition, we offer you:

  • Compensation commensurate with your qualifications and professional experience;
  • a company pension plan;
  • a 13th month’s salary;
  • a transportation allowance for local public transit;
  • flexible work schedules to help employees better balance work and personal life;
