Wetlands Recognized as a Global Solution for Climate and Biodiversity Crisis

The world’s largest environmental network, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), has approved a landmark motion that enshrines the conservation and restoration of wetlands as an urgent priority in global environmental policy. The resolution, supported by Fundación Global Nature (FGN), Wetlands International and Living Lakes, recognizes the strategic role of wetlands as an essential natural solution to combat the dual climate and biodiversity crises.
