The loss of biodiversity is increasingly becoming a significant economic risk for companies. Global supply chains are highly dependent on functioning ecosystems, yet economic activities contribute significantly to biodiversity loss. This applies in particular to sectors with complex and resource-intensive value chains, such as the food and textile industries.
With this in mind, we cordially invite you to our webinar:
“Understanding and Managing Biodiversity Risks in Supply Chains – Focus on the Food and Textile Industries”
In this webinar, we would like to highlight:
- what biodiversity risks arise along global supply chains,
- why these are becoming increasingly relevant for risk management, financing, and regulatory requirements,
- how companies can identify and assess risks,
- as well as the practical approaches and digital tools that are already in use today.
Look forward to ideas and real-world examples from companies, as well as insights into solutions for risk analysis and supply chain transparency. Contributions are planned from Osapiens, the digital platform for ESG and supply chain risk management, and the nature and climate risk platform kuyua. In addition, companies from the food industry—including Nestlé—and the textile industry provide insights into business practices.
This event is specifically aimed at:
- ESG, sustainability, and risk managers
- Companies in the food and textile industries
- Financial institutions and insurance companies
- Associations and other interested parties
The seminar will be held online via Microsoft Teams: https://events.teams.microsoft.com/event/c3eb322b-8b39-49e7-aae0-b89ac11ad76a @8ff346ba-0b97-4a49-be6b-d4b0118597c4. Participation is free of charge.
We look forward to seeing you and to sharing ideas with you.
The event is organized by the Global Nature Fund and is part of a study on biodiversity risks in supply chains funded by the Funk Foundation. It serves as a platform for the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and practical approaches between companies and experts.
