Anuga took place in Cologne from October 4-8, 2025. More than 145,000 people from over 190 countries visited the world’s largest food fair. Politics, business, and research discussed the future of nutrition.
Under the title “For the protection of biodiversity and sustainable food systems”, the GNF and the Food for Biodiversity association were present at the joint stand of the Federal Association of the German Food Trade (BVLH). In addition to the stand, the team was also represented on stage: with a presentation on the Organic Stage, as well as three impulses in the BVLH Speakers’ Corner.
Our EU LIFE project “Fit for Biodiversity” took center stage at the trade fair. It supports companies in making an effective contribution to promoting biodiversity through incentive programs, biodiversity loans, training and suitable tools.
There was great interest in the topic of biodiversity in the food industry. A good opportunity to start conversations, exchange ideas, talk about the “Fit for Biodiversity” project, and make new contacts—for more biodiversity in the food system.
The great interest shows: Biodiversity in the food value chain continues to gain importance. Together with committed stakeholders, we are committed to promoting the protection and promotion of biological diversity.
