Nature and Biodiversity in the Banking Sector

KfW invites experts from the German banking sector to network at the Biodiversity Talks 2025 and jointly develop solutions for effectively integrating biodiversity into financial processes.

Nature & biodiversity are increasingly becoming the focus of the financial world – and for good reason: The loss of biological diversity threatens not only our environment but also our economic foundations.

Look forward to:

  • Keynote speeches by Sustainable Finance experts
  • Interactive peer-to-peer workshops

with topics such as:

  • ESG risks & regulatory framework (CSRD, ESRS E4, TNFD etc.)
  • biodiversity-related KPIs in lending presented by the Global Nature Fund
  • Nature conservation criteria for real estate investments
  • Business cases for biodiversity in the financial sector

Andrea Reuter, project manager at GNF, presents her results from the “Business Biodiversity” project, in which she researched biodiversity-related KPIs for lending together with VfU.

Colleagues from the areas of sustainability, risk management, product development and sustainable finance are particularly invited.

The event will take place in person.
