The German Federation of Food and Drink Industries (BVE) and the Global Nature Fund invite you to two exciting online seminars as part of the EU LIFE project “Fit for Biodiversity”. The seminar series is particularly aimed at managers and sustainability officers in agri-food companies.
A central question is at the heart of this: How can the food industry prepare for the growing risks of biodiversity loss while actively contributing to the protection and preservation of biodiversity?
In view of alarming news about the decline in pollinators, the increasing degradation of fertile soils, and the destruction of valuable forests, the agri-food sector bears more responsibility than ever: It must demonstrate how the protection of biodiversity and stable ecosystems can pave the way for sustainable, future-proof food systems.
The first online session “Understanding the Materiality of Biodiversity and Masterfully Meeting Legal Requirements” on November 27 provides a concise overview of fundamental topics: from biodiversity risks in the food industry to strategies, regulation, and reporting.
Agenda
- Better Understanding Impacts & Dependencies in the Food Industry
- Strategy and Biodiversity Management for Raw Materials and Supply Chains: Development of a “Corporate Nature Strategy”
- Regulatory Requirements in CSRD & ESRS E4, as well as VSME
- Voluntary Reporting with TNFD & GRI

Jenja Kronenbitter, Project Manager at the Global Nature Fund in the field of Business and Biodiversity
Tobias Ludes, Project Manager at the Global Nature Fund in the field of Business and Biodiversity
