Workshop at the Performance Days in Munich on October 14: Biodiversity Loss as a Business Risk in the Textile Industry
Nature-related risks often arise far from a company’s own location—from raw material production through material processing and manufacturing all the way to finished goods. According to the World Economic Forum’sGlobal Risks Report 2026, biodiversity loss and the collapse of ecosystems are among the greatest global risks of the next decade. The consequences directly affect companies, particularly those operating along complex supply chains.
As part of the Performance Days in Munich, the Global Nature Fund will present the initial findings of the study “Biodiversity Risks in the Upstream Supply Chain,” which is funded by the Funk Foundation .
In this interactive workshop, we’ll examine regulatory requirements, highlight examples of risks and specific courses of action, and provide insights into how pioneering companies are already addressing this issue. Afterward, we’ll discuss together: How are companies tackling this issue, and what are the biggest challenges in practice?
