Enterprises and Biodiversity – Essentials for target-group-specific Information Brokering and Networking

Background

The project “Enterprises and Biodiversity - Essentials for target-group-specific Information Brokering and Networking” was created within UFOPLAN 2013 in context with the preperations for a new platform of action and dialogue “Project Biodiversity 2020” (Unternehmen biologische Vielfalt 2020) (UBI 2020) which was officially started on march 5th 2013 on the 5. National Forum for Biodiversity. We want to focus the project on strengthening of UBI 2020. So it is primarily a development project, not a research project and pursues two goals that are linked together:

Overall Goal 1

Implementation of a coordination function and operative support for UBI 2020 (“coordination centre”) to take care of a productive organizational framework, so that the activities of the platform can perform successful.

Overall Goal 2

Development of a contribution for the area of activity “Target-group-specific Information on Biodiversity for Enterprises” of UBI 2020 by an improvement of essentials for target-group-specific information brokering and exemplary development of these target-group-specific information for the commercial and service sector. The objective is to motivate and enable enterprises to contribute more to the protection of biodiversity.
