Securing sustainable livelihoods in South Africa

Projektzeitraum: August 2017 - March 2021
We sustainably improve the living conditions of South African communities. Through targeted training of residents and securing their livelihoods. This lays the foundation for positive development beyond the project.

There is a lack of participation formats and financial security in the four project communities (Gumbi, Mandlakazi, Upper Thukela, KwaJobe / Khula). The lack of corresponding capacities at management level and legal obstacles are slowing down the improvement of the economic situation.

With this project, we are supporting holistic and sustainable community development. By improving structures in the community leadership, we are laying the foundations for an independent continuation of the process after the project has been completed. New income opportunities and an improved supply of drinking water and food increase the quality of life of the residents.
