Flashlights cast a spotlight on a particular subject – as does the “Flashlight study on lakes and climate change”. It presents available research findings on the effects of climate change on freshwaters and wetlands in Germany and draws attention to the resulting climatic changes. Findings from other European countries are also included. Among other things, the study looks at solutions and experiences of partners from the “Living Lakes Network Germany” and the Europe-wide “Living Lakes” network. Freshwaters are particularly susceptible to climate change and are therefore a good indicator of the effects of climate change, which are already measurable. <\/p>\n

The study we have developed is intended to provide a practice-oriented overview of important findings and approaches to solutions and to provide impetus for European environmental policy.<\/p>\n
