They play a key role in our environment. We see raising public awareness and acceptance of the need for measures to preserve and sustainably use these ecosystems as an important task. This is exactly what this project is about: it focuses on an important instrument for the protection, conservation and sustainable use of wetlands worldwide &#8211; the International Wetlands Convention for the Protection of Wetlands.<\/p>\n<p>The first step is to inform the general public about the value of healthy wetlands and their great economic, social and cultural importance for our livelihoods (ecosystem services). The international wetlands convention serves as a conceptual and communicative bracket.
