Water is a human right. Despite this, almost two thirds of the world’s population have no access to clean water. 70 percent of these people live in Africa. The district government of Siaya has made efforts to improve access to clean drinking water for the people. However, some communities, such as the community of Ulamba, still have no permanent access to water. <\/strong><\/p>\n

In this project, we ensure a sufficient water supply for 90 percent of households by building wells and water pumps and training residents to repair and maintain them. The project therefore directly benefits 3,369<\/span> people. <\/p>\n
