The implementation of the new EU regulation for deforestation-free products (EUDR) poses challenges for many companies. What exactly do the new rules look like? And how can companies check whether they are breaking the law in future and risk high penalties? To discuss these and many other questions, the environmental foundation Global Nature Fund and the tropical forest foundation OroVerde are jointly inviting you to the corporate forum for deforestation-free supply chains.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nVenue: Bonn University Club<\/strong><\/p>\n

Participation in the event is free of charge. Speakers from the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), the Federal Ministry for the Environment and Nature Conservation (BMUV) and the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE) will give keynote speeches. Keynote speeches on implementation, contributions from certification organizations, tool providers and the scientific community as well as interactive raw material-specific sessions will create a wide range of opportunities for formal and informal exchange and joint solution finding. The forum is organized for 50-70 participants from business, politics, NGOs and science. The event will be held in German.<\/p>\n

Goals<\/h3>\n

Tackling challenges: Discussing current EUDR implementation challenges and developing solutions.
\nPromoting partnerships: Networking between representatives from industry, NGOs, politics and science.
\nEnable exchange: Space for sharing experiences and exploring the elan! portal and other support services.
\nWith its diverse range of services, the forum promotes the implementation of the EUDR among German companies and creates impetus to make their supply chains sustainable and free from deforestation.<\/p>\n

Background<\/h3>\n

OroVerde and Global Nature Fund are actively campaigning for the implementation of the EU regulation for deforestation-free products (EUDR) and present the elan! portal as a supporting instrument. This tool offers companies guidance on how to make their supply chains climate-friendly and deforestation-free, with a particular focus on the EUDR.<\/p>\n
