More than 145,000 people from over 190 countries visited the world&#8217;s largest food fair. Politics, business, and research discussed the future of nutrition.  <\/p>\n<p>Under the title &#8220;For the protection of biodiversity and sustainable food systems&#8221;, the GNF and the<a href=\"https:\/\/globalnature.org\/en\/project\/food-for-biodiversity-species-protection-along-the-supply-chain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Food for Biodiversity<\/a> association were present at the joint stand of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bvlh.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Federal Association of the German Food Trade (BVLH)<\/a>. In addition to the stand, the team was also represented on stage: with a presentation on the Organic Stage, as well as three impulses in the BVLH Speakers&#8217; Corner.<\/p>\n<p>Our EU LIFE project &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/food-biodiversity.de\/fit-for-biodiversity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fit for Biodiversity<\/a>&#8221; took center stage at the trade fair. It supports companies in making an effective contribution to promoting biodiversity through incentive programs, biodiversity loans, training and suitable tools.<\/p>\n<p>There was great interest in the topic of biodiversity in the food industry. A good opportunity to start conversations, exchange ideas, talk about the &#8220;Fit for Biodiversity&#8221; project, and make new contacts\u2014for more biodiversity in the food system. <\/p>\n<p>The great interest shows: Biodiversity in the food value chain continues to gain importance.
