Recognizing Greenwashing, Communicating Credibly

“Sustainable”, “fairly produced”, “climate-neutral”: We encounter terms like these on a daily basis when dealing with textiles – whether on labels, websites or in product catalogs. But how much truth is really behind it?

In our next webinar “Recognizing Greenwashing, Communicating Credibly: Sustainability Promises Under the Microscope” from the series FairWearWorks goes digital, we will explore the question of where greenwashing and social washing begin in the textile sector – and how sustainability can be communicated credibly.

On December 9, 2025, we cordially invite you from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. to discuss legal and communicative pitfalls relating to sustainability statements in the field of textiles together with Tanita Hecking, sustainability expert and co-founder of the anti-greenwashing newsletter The Crisps.

We shed light on how greenwashing can be legally punished and where the current limits lie, which sustainability statements are problematic – and how companies can communicate transparently and credibly instead. We also show how social washing can be recognized.

Have we piqued your interest? Then register now using this link and be there. We look forward to your participation!
