FWW Webseminar: Biodiversity – Textile industry

We cordially invite you to our seventh, free web seminar in the #FairWearWorks goes digital series on October 7, 2025 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. on the topic “Securing biodiversity, strengthening supply chains: Impulses for sustainable textile purchasing”!

The textile industry contributes significantly to the loss of biodiversity – from the production of raw materials and clothing to the handling of used textiles. Retail companies as well as sports clubs and charities that purchase textile products can decisively counteract the loss of biodiversity with sustainable purchasing.

Together with our expert Louisa Lösing, Head of Business and Biodiversity at the Global Nature Fund, we discuss three key questions against this backdrop:

  • What impact does the textile industry have on biodiversity along its supply chain?
  • How can biodiversity loss be combated – and what benefits does this have for humans?
  • What specific levers does procurement have to strengthen biodiversity along the supply chain?
