Fairness not Only on the Field – Fair Procurement in the Club

We cordially invite you to our next online event in the series “My club is sustainable. Big changes start small” by Rhein.Main.Fair on November 6, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (via Zoom).

The example of a committed sports club from Oberursel shows that fair play does not stop at the edge of the field: Last season, the players ran in specially designed Fairtrade hoodies, offered Fairtrade products at home games and trained with Fairtrade-certified balls. Jens Gessner, the city’s environmental officer, reports on the creation of this partnership and the experiences that were gathered.

Bettina Faust from the Global Nature Fund will present the concrete opportunities that sports clubs have in the area of fair procurement as part of the Fair Wear Works project.
