Online seminars for managers and sustainability managers in the food sector

Successfully implementing a biodiversity management system & launching activities in the supply chain

In light of alarming news about the decline of pollinators, the increasing degradation of fertile soils and the destruction of valuable forests, the agri-food sector has a greater responsibility than ever before: it must demonstrate how protecting biodiversity and stable ecosystems can pave the way for sustainable, future-proof food systems.
As part of the EU LIFE project ‘Fit for Biodiversity’, the Global Nature Fund and the Federation of German Food and Drink Industries (BVE) are hosting a series of online seminars.

The seminar ‘Successfully implementing a biodiversity management system & launching activities in the supply chain’ highlights practical steps and tools that companies can use to analyse biodiversity risks, implement successful measures in the supply chain and effectively support their partners – from standards to farmers. The seminar covers the following topics:
  • Data collection and tools for risk analysis and biodiversity performance
  • Prerequisites for successful roll-out in the supply chain
  • The role of standards and certifications
  • Support for suppliers and farmers
Further information and application can be found here.
The Fit for Biodiversity project aims to significantly improve the management of biodiversity in the food industry.
