Global Nature Fund (GNF)

Dear GNF-Supporters,

The summer of 2022 has sent a loud message: water protection, our core issue, is more crucial than ever. Masses of fish died in the Oder, the river Ahr, which was the scene of a flood disaster last year, was reduced to a trickle in some stretches and forests burned all over Europe - not to mention the drought-related crop failures.

We got the message: the world has to get better at protecting its water bodies, use the precious resource more sustainably. Because only two and a half percent of the world's water is freshwater - and less than one percent of it is accessible to us through rivers, lakes and wetlands. In view of these developments, we are rolling up our sleeves and show up with even more commitment to conserving our waters - you can find out what this looks like in this newsletter.

All the best,

Udo Gattenlöhner
CEO Global Nature Fund

P.S.: In this newsletter you will find two exciting travel reports about project visits to Angola and Mongolia - definitely worth reading.
