 Projects
Living Lakes, an international network of currently 65 partner lakes on five continents, is the most important project of Global Nature Fund. This world-wide partner ship of lakes and wetlands supports the sustainable development and the protection of our threatened drinking water reserves.
Each quarter, one supported project is in the focus of interest. Detailed information about the current project as well as the three last projects are available under separate pages. Network Living Lakes Eastern Europe - Germany (2005 - February 2008). Supported by the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU).
Kids for Birds, Estonia, Poland and Germany (2005 - 2006). Supported by Stiftung Naturschutzfonds (Conservation Fund) using earmarked Glücksspirale lottery profits as well as "Aktion Mensch" (Action Man) within the scope of Aktion 5000 x Zukunft.
Renewable Energies for Fisher Men at Lake Victoria, Kenya (2004 - 2007). Supported by the German Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) and the Foundation LANDESSTIFTUNG Baden-Württemberg.
Solar Ship Network, Germany (2004 - 2005). Supported by the Ministry for Environment and the Federal Environmental Agency (UBA).
